Intelligence isn't artificial. It's knowing what to build, how to build it, and how to keep it running.
Fractional AI design, engineering & operations for growing businesses.
Strategic Intelligence
Design & Strategy
Define your goals. Determine the most effective tools for the job. Deliver a well-scoped roadmap.
Not every problem needs AI, and not every AI approach is equal. Strategic Intelligence engagements start with your business problem and work backward to the right technical solution. You get a clear-eyed assessment, an architecture, and a plan — not a slide deck full of buzzwords.
- Technical discovery and requirements analysis
- AI feasibility assessment — is an LLM the right tool, or is a simpler approach better?
- System architecture and data pipeline design
- Vendor and platform evaluation (build vs. buy)
- Technical strategy documentation and roadmap
Typical engagement: 2–4 weeks
Applied Intelligence
Build & Implement
We build it. End to end.
From prototype through production. Applied Intelligence engagements take the architecture from design into working software — APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and user-facing features. You get a production system, not a demo.
- End-to-end application development — backend, APIs, front-end, deployment automation, and infrastructure
- LLM integration, prompt engineering, and model pipeline development
- Data infrastructure and pipeline implementation
- Third-party integrations and system migration
- Testing, deployment, and production launch
Typical engagement: 1–6 months depending on scope
Operational Intelligence
Operate & Evolve
Software doesn't end at launch.
Production systems need ongoing attention — monitoring, iteration, incident response, and evolution as your business grows. Operational Intelligence provides fractional technical leadership embedded in your organization, so you get the expertise of a senior engineering leader without the full-time cost.
- Fractional CTO / technical leadership (10–20 hrs/week)
- Production monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Feature iteration and continuous improvement
- Team mentorship and engineering process development
- Infrastructure optimization and cost management
Typical engagement: Ongoing retainer

How Engagements Work
Fractional means flexible
“Fractional” means you get senior technical leadership and hands-on engineering without the overhead of a full-time hire. Depending on the engagement, I embed directly into your team—joining standups, reviewing architecture, writing code—or I operate independently on a scoped deliverable.
Scoped projects have a defined discovery phase, a build phase, and a handoff. You'll know the timeline and deliverables before we start. These work best when you have a specific problem: “We need an AI-powered feature for X” or “We need to evaluate whether AI fits our workflow.”
Ongoing operations are retainer-based, typically 10–20 hours per week. This is for businesses that need continuous technical leadership: monitoring production systems, iterating on features, making architectural decisions, and mentoring your internal team as it grows.
Every engagement starts with a conversation. No commitment, no pitch—just a 30-minute call to understand what you're building and whether I can help.
