Sources. Bills, roll calls, and sponsorships: the LegiScan session dataset for the 2025–26 Vermont General Assembly (per-member Senate votes; House votes not yet shown). Policy areas: each bill classified into the 28 areas of the state-legislature agendas codebook from its title and opening text; classifications audited by independent re-derivation on 144 bills with one correction. A bill can carry several areas; the bar above counts each bill once, by its primary area.

What a voice vote means. Most motions in the Vermont Senate pass without a roll call. When no recorded vote exists, this page says so — absence of a name from any tally is not abstention; the vote simply was not recorded by name.
